New York Proposes to Prohibit Use of Educational Level or Occupational Status to Set Auto Insurance Rates
The New York State Department of Financial Services has proposed a regulation that would prohibit insurers from using an individual's occupational status or educational level as factors in setting auto insurance rates unless the insurer demonstrates to the satisfaction of the department that the use of these factors does not result in rates that are unfairly discriminatory.  Read More
